The Maiengrün Schools are a school association of the municipalities of Dottikon, Hägglingen, and Hendschiken. At our four school locations, we operate kindergarten, primary school, and secondary school. Approximately 1,000 children and young people are taught by around 130 teachers. Each location has its own principal and is integrated into the joint management structure of the school association.

For our primary school in Dottikon, with 10 primary and 5 kindergarten classes, we are seeking

a principal (80-100% workload) to start on February 1, 2027, or by agreement

. Our school is progressive, inclusive, and future-oriented. As principal, you will be responsible for the operational management of the Dottikon primary school with approximately 290 students. You will actively shape the daily school life, lead staff with respect, and contribute to the pedagogical, organizational, and personnel development of the school.

You will be part of a dedicated school management team and work closely with other site managers, the school board, the school administration, teachers, specialists, parents, and external bodies. You can rely on clear leadership structures, professional administrative support, and a committed association board.

Your tasks

• Operational, professional and personnel management of the Dottikon primary school site

• Leadership, guidance and support of teachers, specialists and school administration

• Ensuring a reliable, well-organized and pedagogically effective school operation

• Participation in curriculum, school and quality development as well as implementation of pedagogical priorities

• Promoting respectful, committed and solution-oriented collaboration within the team

• Transparent communication with teachers, parents, authorities and other stakeholders

• Collaboration with the school board, school management team, specialist agencies and external partners

• Responsibility for organizational tasks such as timetable planning, resource planning, administration, school operations, infrastructure and finances

Your profile

• Completed teacher training with several years of professional experience in a school setting

• Education and experience as a school principal

• Understanding of educational processes, school development and teaching quality

• Clear, appreciative, committed and solution-oriented leadership style

• Secure, open and audience-appropriate communication in speech and writing

• Structured, reliable and independent work style with a good overview even in challenging situations

• Enjoyment of working together in a school management team across multiple locations

• Respectful and professional interaction with children, parents, staff and authorities

• Identification with an inclusive, learning-oriented and development-oriented school
