THE OPPORTUNITY:

Veritas are looking for a bright and enthusiastic Science Graduate to join a forward-thinking secondary school in Brent as a Teaching Assistant. You’ll work closely with students aged 11-16, supporting them in science lessons and across the curriculum. This is a fantastic first step for graduates who are serious about progressing into teacher training or are considering working within education.
This role will give you experience supporting students throughout Science and Maths classrooms, as well as supporting students with SEND

Responsibilities

YOUR ROLE WILL INVOLVE:

  • Assisting teachers in delivering engaging science lessons
  • Supporting students 1:1 or in small groups with classwork, homework, and revision
  • Helping to manage behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment
  • Offering targeted support to students who may need extra help grasping key scientific concepts
  • Contributing to wider school life, including extracurricular activities and enrichment
