Egypt Education Platform is searching for an experienced and dynamic Science Head of Department (HOD) for our French School at Madinaty Integrated Language School. This leadership role is ideal for a passionate educator with a strong background in science education and the ability to inspire both students and fellow teachers. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the Science Department, developing a comprehensive curriculum that aligns with the French national education standards. Inspire and support staff in delivering high-quality science instruction and promoting a culture of excellence in teaching and learning. Oversee the planning and implementation of effective teaching strategies, assessments, and evaluation methods to enhance student achievement. Facilitate professional development opportunities for staff to strengthen their pedagogical practices and knowledge of current scientific advancements. Monitor and assess departmental performance, setting goals and ensuring strategies are in place to address any areas for improvement. Cultivate a collaborative and collegial environment where teachers can share best practices and work together to enhance student engagement in science. Engage with parents and the larger school community to promote awareness and interest in the sciences. Bachelor's degree in Science Education or a related field; advanced degree preferred. Extensive teaching experience, with a minimum of 3-5 years in a leadership or HOD role within a school. Fluency in French is essential, with a strong understanding of the French educational system. Proven ability to develop and implement effective science curricula aligned with national standards. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Demonstrated commitment to fostering a positive learning environment and supporting teacher development.
