Description Science Lab Aide Work Study (CGCC STUDENTS ONLY) Salary $16.00 Hourly Location Hood River, OR Job Type Student Worker Department Science Opening Date 10/14/2025 Description JOB SUMMARY: This position is a part of the science department and assists the science faculty with lab related tasks. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required to perform the job satisfactorily. Laboratory organization Experimental preparation Minimal cleaning of labs Other duties as assigned (research, copying, scanning, etc.) Requirements Qualifications KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES NEEDED TO PERFORM THIS ROLE: Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and web are preferred. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Previous office experience preferred but not required. PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS: This position requires working at a computer, typing, sitting, and standing. This position requires use of office equipment such as computers, printers, telephones, copiers, adding machines, fax machines, and scanners.
Responsibilities
The Science Lab Aide assists the science faculty with lab-related tasks, including laboratory organization and experimental preparation. Additional duties may include minimal cleaning of labs and other assigned tasks such as research and copying.
