Description Cheshire Academy seeks a full-time Science teacher for the upcoming 2026-2027 academic year. The successful candidate will be able to provide quality instruction in various levels and disciplines of science, including integrated science courses which combine physical and life sciences. Specializations in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics will enhance a candidate's application. Candidates who have an innovative and collaborative approach to curriculum and instruction, experience supporting a wide range of learners, and a commitment to antiracism are strongly encouraged to apply. Interest in or experience with IB science is a plus. Ideal candidates will also embrace an inclusive mindset, demonstrate a commitment to education for global citizenship, and be excited about transforming curriculum and instruction to meet the needs of today’s learners. Other responsibilities include a combination of teaching, advising, and participation in the co-curricular and residential life of the school. All aspects of a teaching faculty role, including courses taught, advising students, and co-curricular contribution, are considered part of the overall faculty workload. Dorm responsibilities are included if school housing is provided. Must have a valid driver’s license with the ability to obtain a CT “A” endorsement for purposes of transporting students. While there are other ways to contribute to the cocurricular program, current coaching needs that we are looking to fill include: Robotics ESports JV Volleyball Basketball Fencing JV Tennis Golf Please express coaching interest in your cover letter. School provided housing is not guaranteed for the academic year of 2026-2027. Salary and benefits are competitive. Candidate must be able to pass a criminal background check. Must be eligible to work the U.S. to be considered. Requirements Minimally, this candidate will have a Bachelor of Science in science, engineering, or a related subject. A master's degree, teaching credentials, and/or relevant teaching experience are preferred. Applicants must embrace participation in the entire boarding school experience.
