LONG-TERM SCIENCE TEACHER – STEVENAGE

Are you a passionate Science Teacher seeking a long-term opportunity to make a real impact? Our partner school in Stevenage is looking for a dedicated educator to join their team and teach KS3 and KS4 Science.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Preferably QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
• Strong subject knowledge in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics
• Enhanced DBS (on the Update Service or willing to apply)
• Experience teaching KS3 and KS4 Science
• Ability to engage, motivate, and inspire students
• A passion for developing students’ scientific understanding and encouraging their curiosity

THE ROLE:

• Position: Science Teacher (KS3 & KS4, with potential KS5)
• Location: Stevenage
• Start Date: ASAP or September 2024
• Contract: Long-term, full-time
• Teaching Focus: You will be responsible for teaching Science across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (ages 11-16), delivering a curriculum that covers Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons to KS3 and KS4 students
• Provide high-quality differentiation to meet the needs of students at various levels
• Assess, track, and report on student progress
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Prepare students for GCSE Science exams with engaging and supportive revision techniques
• Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a holistic approach to student success
• Ensure the classroom environment is well-organised and conducive to learning
