Description
We are looking for a Science Teacher for an International School based in Beijing. This position is available from the upcoming 2026/27 academic year in February 2026. Responsibilities Plan and teach engaging science lessons and provide academic support to secondary school students (junior middle school). Contribute to the development of the science curriculum and co-curricular science programs (e.g. Science Week and other themed activities). Help organize and run science activities for different age groups (lower, middle, and upper school). Support lab work and ensure safety, order, and cleanliness in all science labs. Support the robotics and STEAM programs when possible. Collaborate with other teachers and departments, including supporting ESL learners in science classes. Enhance students’ scientific skills and provide extension or extra tutorials for students with special talent in science. Promote 4C skills (communication, collaboration, critical thinking, creativity) and cross-cultural understanding among students and colleagues. Participate in curriculum work, professional development, and ensure teaching materials are properly stored on the school’s online platforms. Communicate regularly with parents about student progress, lead or support clubs/electives, assist with duties, student activities, trips, and complete routine admin tasks such as attendance and grading.
