We are seeking a dedicated and driven Science Teacher to join the Opogo Education team in a long term supply role with one of our partner secondary schools in Hackney. The ideal candidate will be committed to delivering high-quality science education across Key Stages 3 and 4, inspiring students to explore the wonders of biology, chemistry, and physics through engaging and innovative lessons.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver outstanding lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Teach general science across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Assess, track, and report on student progress and attainment.
  • Create a safe and stimulating learning environment that promotes academic and personal growth.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, training, and school-wide initiatives.
  • Set and mark homework and classwork in line with school policy.
  • Provide constructive feedback to students and parents/guardians.
  • Maintain classroom discipline in line with the school’s behaviour policy.
  • Contribute to extracurricular science activities, clubs, or educational visits.
