If so, EdEx are working with the highest achieving Havering Secondary school to recruit two Science Teaching Assistants for September 2025 starts. These Science Teaching Assistant roles are ideal for graduates seeking school-based experience before teacher training in London.
You’ll be supported and nurtured by some of the best teachers and senior leaders in London. From day one, you’ll begin honing your teaching craft - supporting students inside and outside the classroom across KS3, KS4 & KS5 Science, running 1:1 and small group interventions, and working with students with additional needs (SEN). Everything you learn in this role will prepare you for salaried teacher training in September 2026.
These are full-time, Monday-Friday roles on a long-term contract (Sept 2025 - July 2026), with the opportunity to train to teach at the school from September 2026 - fully funded.

• Paid weekly, daily rates between £105 - £120 per day (Term Time Only)
• Monday to Friday, 8am-4pm, no weekends
• September 2025 start, through to July 2026
• Potential to move into a salaried teacher training programme in Sept 2026
• Support across KS3, KS4 & KS5, leading interventions and revision sessions
• Ongoing development and training opportunities (CPD) throughout the year
• Previous graduates have gone on to complete teacher training and now teach full-time at this school
