The Glan y Môr and Bryngwyn Federation is seeking to appoint a well-organised, proactive, and dedicated Science Technician to join the Science Department at Ysgol Bryngwyn School.
This is an excellent opportunity to join the school during a significant phase of development. As part of a major multi-million-pound capital investment project, the school is undergoing substantial refurbishment, including the construction of brand-new science laboratories, due for completion by Summer 2026.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality science education by assisting in the preparation and maintenance of practical resources, ensuring high standards of health and safety, and supporting the teaching staff in practical lessons.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL:

  • Have relevant experience in a laboratory setting or working with chemicals (experience within an educational environment is desirable)
  • Demonstrate excellent organisational and time-management skills
  • Work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Have good ICT skills and an understanding of relevant health and safety requirements in a science context
  • Be committed to supporting the delivery of an engaging and safe learning environment for pupils
    Term Time Only – 39 Weeks
    Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 3:15pm (45-minute unpaid lunch break)
