JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Science Technician to join our school science department on a temporary full-time basis for 2 weeks. The successful candidate will support the science teaching staff by preparing and maintaining laboratory equipment and materials, ensuring health and safety compliance, and assisting with practical lessons where needed.

• Prepare and set up materials, equipment, and chemicals for science lessons (Biology, Chemistry, Physics).
• Support practical experiments and demonstrations as directed by teaching staff.
• Ensure all equipment and materials are cleaned and stored appropriately after use.
• Maintain and organise stock, reporting low supplies or ordering items as needed.
• Assist in the safe disposal of waste materials and chemicals in line with COSHH regulations.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness in the prep room and laboratories.
• Conduct regular equipment maintenance and safety checks.
• Provide general support to science teaching staff during practical lessons and assessments.
