Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Science Tutor to join our team and provide educational support to students. The ideal candidate will be a qualified teacher who has experience of teaching science in schools as well as on a one-to-one tutoring basis.
This role is for a home tutor who is able to visit students in their homes for tutoring in Southend-on-sea and surrounding areas. You must be able to drive.
Responsibilities
- Educate students across all science disciplines Biology, Chemistry and Physics
- Provide one-on-one tutoring sessions to enhance learning
- Create tailored lesson plans to meet individual student needs
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
- Communicate effectively with students and parents
- Utilize creative teaching techniques to engage students
Qualifications
- Qualified Teacher Status
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in tutoring techniques and methodologies
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to suit different learning styles
- Passion for education and helping students succeed
Job Type: Freelance
Pay: £25.00-£30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 1 – 10 per week

Education:

• Bachelor’s (preferred)

Experience:

• Teaching: 1 year (required)
• Tutoring: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Enhanced DBS (preferred)
• Driving Licence (required)

Location:

• Southend-on-Sea (required)
