Responsibilities

We are looking for a new colleague to join our University Development & Quality Management Team in Berlin on a full-time basis /40 hour a week starting as soon as possible, who shares our vision of excellence in education and who is committed to making a difference in the lives of our students and staff.

Key Activities & Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise the professorial appointment process at UE as designated appointment officer
  • Work closely with the academic vice-president, the deans and other department heads in planning the growth of the university
  • Consult the head of the professorial search committee about processes and legal requirements
  • Manage the relevant documents for the appointment process
  • Check the eligibility of the candidates in accordance with the university law of the federal state of Brandenburg
  • Steer the communication between candidates, search committee, external evaluators, and HR
  • Manage and check the candidates’ documents for application at the ministry of science, research, and culture of Brandenburg
  • Work on other projects of the HEQM team as needed
  • Monitor the communication between the presidium and various other committees of the university and their stakeholders
