Job Description

As a member of Miltenyi Biotec’s R&D department, you will lead multiple groups focused on analytical development to support Miltenyi’s CAR-T cell therapy pipeline from early clinical development to commercialisation. These developments include novel reagents, assays and workflow solutions essential for quality control in cellular medicine, immune profiling and patient monitoring, and exploratory research. The innovative proprietary technologies developed in areas such as flow cytometry, imaging, cell cultivation and assay automation are utilised.

  • You will provide strategic direction and leadership for CGT’s analytical development in line with the company’s overall goals and objectives.
  • You will oversee the development and implementation of novel analytical methods and technologies to ensure robust quality control and patient monitoring.
  • You will be responsible for managing and prioritising the project portfolio to ensure timely and successful completion of key milestones and objectives.
  • You will lead and mentor a team of scientists and research staff, fostering an innovative and collaborative working environment.
  • You will work closely with other R&D departments as well as colleagues from Pharmaceutical Development, Clinical Development, Regulatory Affairs and Quality Control to ensure seamless integration of analytical methods into the development pipeline.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • You have successfully completed a PhD and postdoctoral training and have also gained several years of extensive experience in analytical development in the field of CGT.
  • You combine an excellent scientific background in immunology and disease biology with a strong technological know-how and a high level of creativity.
  • You have excellent leadership skills with several years of experience in managing groups and exceptional strategic planning skills.
  • You will have strong project management and organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams and KOLs complete your profile.
