Description:

The PerkinElmer Scientific Equipment Coordinator will join the team based on one of our client sites. Successful Candidate will work with Laboratory Support Team and alongside the client scientific community. The role involves coordinating asset repairs, maintenance and supporting total asset life cycle.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

  • 2+ years’ experience within the Laboratory/Pharmaceutical sector
  • PC literate in Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
  • High customer focus
  • Ability to work to own initiative but team orientated and able to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure prompt, flexible, customer focused equipment support whilst maintaining compliance with statutory, regulatory and engineering standards
  • Act as the first line triage/response for equipment repairs and M&E issues prior to escalation to suppliers
  • Support with the co-ordination/escalation of issues to equipment manufacturers/contractors for both lab equipment and M&E systems as required.
  • Support with the hosting of third-party contractors visiting site for repair/maintenance of scientific equipment.
  • Act as part of the site team in ensuring that all relevant QHSE processes pertaining to contractor management are always met and that the site remains audit ready
  • Create, manage and review supporting documentation e.g. service reports
  • Monitor the performance of the scientific equipment and systems using Key Performance Indicators to instigate improvements and influence changes
  • Build-up and maintain client relationships
  • Attend client meetings to review on-going performance, areas for continual improvement
  • Support to PKI Management Team to ensure all activities are completed
  • Support with weekly compliance related tasks such as Legionella management (tap temps, flushing, etc.)
  • Proactively review and price (working with Contract Manager) any extra to contract works
  • Be the single point of contact for Capital works delivered through the Small Works process
