Description
Department of Medicine and Therapeutics Scientific Officer The appointee will be responsible for (a) assisting with coordination of clinical studies evaluating drug and non-drug interventions in cardiometabolic disorders and medical nutrition; (b) coordinating research and educational activities with academic, industrial partners and other institutions including those in the Greater Bay Area; (c) writing and reporting of clinical research studies; and (d) assisting in organisation of undergraduate and postgraduate educational courses relating to clinical research and drug use. Applicants should have (i) a PhD degree in Science/Medical Sciences or a related discipline; (ii) at least 2 years’ of clinical or scientific research and/or laboratory management experience; (iii) expertise in trial coordination, ethics and regulatory applications, data collection, analysis and report writing; (iv) good organisation and communication skills; (v) experience in delivery of undergraduate or postgraduate courses; and (vi) a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese. Appointment will initially be made on a 1-year contract, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
