Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

You will lead the medical writing team for accounts that require multiple writers to meet the content demands of customized medical communications initiatives, and/or lead multiple accounts. You will be responsible for assigned-client service and providing high-quality editorial oversight for all content from planning through to review and completion.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Deliver high-quality material with a mix of hands-on delivery of specific projects and reviewing/oversight role across other projects and is capable of working across a variety of project types including publications and medical affairs
  • Guide the scientific team on day to day tasks and is responsible for the accurate, high-quality, and timely execution of all scientific aspects of projects within a workstream
  • Provide scientific oversight for assigned large/complex projects or a workstream, briefing, reviewing, and providing guidance and direction to less experienced writers in account team
  • Be the client’s day to day scientific contact, ensuring that all project-related discussions related to scientific matters are communicated effectively to the team and more widely to other AZ scientific indication leads as appropriate
  • Foster excellent client relationships through trusted delivery of projects.
  • Collaborate with other functions including project management, client services and editorial within the workstream to ensure the overall well-being and efficiency of the scientific team, helping team members prioritize workload and tasks to deliver successfully
