Why this Role Matters This role is essential because it ensures the quality, performance, and innovation of tire-related materials through advanced analytical testing. By developing new testing methods, maintaining analytical equipment, and providing technical guidance, the Scientist Staff supports research, development, and plant operations while enabling data-driven decisions that drive product quality and innovation. What You’ll Do Develop and enhance analytical testing methods for tire-related materials, including raw material analysis and compound reformulation. Identify technological advancement opportunities and design experimental plans to achieve them. Maintain, calibrate, and ensure proper functioning of analytical equipment. Support R&D, plant projects, and material evaluation initiatives through hands-on analytical work. Coach and train team members on analytical methods and best practices. Interface with internal and external stakeholders to provide analytical solutions and technical expertise. Document, update, and audit testing procedures to ensure compliance, knowledge retention, and reproducibility. What you’ll bring Basic Qualifications Master’s degree in Analytical Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry, Material Science, Physics, or related field, or equivalent experience. Minimum 5 years of analytical laboratory experience (3+ years for candidates with a Ph.D.). Strong practical experience with liquid and gas chromatographic techniques, including GC-FID, GC-MS, LC/MS, and GPC. Demonstrated ability to work in interdisciplinary, international teams with strong interpersonal and communication skills. Proficiency in written and spoken English, with adherence to lab safety and best chemical laboratory practices. Preferred Qualifications Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry with specialization in Chromatography. Experience and theoretical/practical knowledge in NMR and FTIR spectroscopy.
