Description
Description ABS is hiring a local, onsite Scientific Systems (Lab) IT Administrator to support a life sciences cell therapy client within the IT organization. This role oversees the technical management of laboratory systems supporting daily operations in a regulated environment. Key Responsibilities Lead implementation, maintenance, and optimization of laboratory instruments/software, PCs, servers, and applications. Support Windows-based workstations and networks, including data retention and backup management. Ensure compliance with 21 CFR Parts 210/211, Part 11, EU Annex 11, GLP, GMP, and ISO requirements. Partner with laboratory, IT, and validation/qa teams to support/maintain operations, data management, and data integrity. Create and maintain IT-owned documentation, including system risk assessments, Part 11 assessments, configuration specifications, technical documentation, inventory. Coordinate vendor support, application updates, and firmware upgrades. Perform system administration activities including patching, hot-fixes, user access control, troubleshooting, and documentation. Demonstrate proficiency in Windows OS, networking, folder security, Windows logs, and working knowledge of SQL databases. Requirements Qualifications Hands on experience in a GMP life sciences laboratory environment with laboratory equipment and software. Understanding data integrity standards, 21 CFR Part 11, and validation lifecycle. Strong Windows OS understanding and IT networking skills. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Preferred Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field. Experience with Windows networking, server configuration, and user/group management. Ability to create simple Windows or Python scripts.
