Please do not share outside of the organization. Your Role: MilliporeSigma in Bedford, MA is seeking a Scientist 1. The Scientist 1 within the Filtration Research and Development department will assist in the design, development, and testing of novel filtration products/technologies suitable for the manufacture of therapeutic biopharmaceuticals. You will apply solid scientific and engineering principles to: Test prototype filtration products in a collaborative environment Leverage personal and institutional knowledge to achieve project goals and timelines Develop materials, devices, and methods that achieve performance objectives Summarize experimental results and conclusions to the project team through written reports and technical presentations You will also be expected to contribute to the product and manufacturing process validation of these products for use in a diverse range of applications within the biotechnology industry. Who You Are: Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Material Science or other Science or Engineering field 6+ months industry experience working in a laboratory setting Preferred Qualifications: A willingness to develop new skills and techniques and leverage internal training opportunities as appropriate Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis on data analysis and technical presentation Hands-on problem solver, comfortable with modern laboratory techniques and procedures Ability to comply with all necessary EHS safety regulations Good communication skills and an ability to deliver clear, concise technical presentations Familiarity with design of experiments (DOE) and statistical analysis methods Pay Range for this position: $80,400 - $140,300 The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors.
