Your role:
We have an exciting Scientist 2 role within our Cell Biology team (Transmission Electron Microscopy). In this role, you will be responsible for providing scientific support in the conduct of routine and complex GMP studies performed within a contract testing laboratory.

Responsibilities include:

  • Acting as Responsible Scientist on studies
  • Assisting in the performance of laboratory procedures
  • Providing scientific support to laboratory staff performing routine and complex procedures
  • Liaising with external clients for whom studies are being conducted
  • Maintaining study records, including deviation records, to meet regulatory standard.

Who you are:

  • You hold a BSc or advanced degree in Cell Biology or a related Biological Science discipline
  • You have a minimum of 3 years’ experience working to GMP standards in a similar regulated laboratory environment – this is essential
  • You have hands-on experience in transmission electron microscopy (TEM), histology, or virus analysis – at least one of these is required
  • You are experienced in conducting root cause analysis and investigations related to deviations and quality issues
  • You are confident in communicating directly with clients and responding to technical queries
  • You demonstrate a strong focus on quality, safety, and regulatory compliance
  • You are highly organized and detail-oriented with strong planning skills
  • You are proactive, self-driven, and capable of working independently
  • You have excellent interpersonal skills and are fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Experience with LIMS or similar lab information systems is preferred
