POSITION OVERVIEW

The Absorption, Distribution, Elimination and Excretion (ADME) group at Ambrosia Biosciences is seeking a multidisciplinary, team-oriented Scientist with a strong emphasis on quantitative bioanalysis and comprehensive ADME expertise. This lab-focused position plays a critical role in supporting lead optimization by evaluating ADME properties to help with candidate selection for preclinical development. Primary responsibilities include conducting ADME studies to support discovery projects in collaboration with cross-functional teams. Additional duties may involve collaborating with Contract Research Organizations (CROs), tracking study progress, reviewing data, uploading results into databases, and presenting data to the larger science team.
This role is onsite in Boulder, CO.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree with a minimum of 2 years of ADME experience.
  • Candidates must be proficient in using and troubleshooting a Sciex LC-MS/MS.
  • Self-motivated team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment who can demonstrate technical proficiency, scientific creativity, and be capable of independently planning and executing experiments while proactively seeking out senior personnel to discuss potential solutions to problems.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are essential in this collaborative work environment.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS

  • Detailed understanding of ADME and drug interactions and proficiency to communicate theory and concepts clearly.
  • Expertise in mammalian cell culture.
  • Proficiency with MS Office with emphasis in Excel.

Responsibilities
  • Perform various weekly high-throughput in vitro metabolism and permeability studies to address specific ADME questions in drug discovery.
  • Create MRM tunes on the mass spectrometer for weekly screening assays
  • Independently run the mass spectrometer for ADME assays.
  • Process, review, and interpret data independently.
  • Execute all assays in a timely manner to meet weekly deadlines.
  • Participate in technical discussions, experimental design, and data review.
