JOB OVERVIEW:

We are seeking an experienced Scientist – Analytical Chemistry with strong hands-on expertise in HPLC/UPLC, capillary electrophoresis (CE), and other separation/biochemical methods. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a pharmaceutical or biotech laboratory environment, preferably with small molecule API or drug product experience. This is a 100% onsite, lab-based position supporting method development and routine analytical testing.

EDUCATION (ONE OF THE FOLLOWING):

  • Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field + 2 years of experience
  • M.S. + minimum 5 years of experience in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry
  • B.S. + minimum 7 years of experience in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Strong hands-on experience with Chromotography- HPLC/UPLC (including SEC, HIC, IEX, RP) and/or capillary electrophoresis (CE, cIEF)
  • Candidates with small molecule API or drug product HPLC/UPLC experience are highly desirable
  • Proficiency with Empower, 32 Carat, and other laboratory software
  • Excellent documentation, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting with strong attention to detail
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with lab instrumentation

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience with MALS, RI, UV, and CAD detection
  • Familiarity with DLS, Zeta Potential, Electrophoresis, and Light Scattering
  • Experience in large molecule analytical methods is a plus
  • Proficiency in separation methods including reverse phase, SEC, CE, and HIC
Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute analytical methods to support product development
  • Perform routine lab testing using biochemical and separation techniques
  • Conduct data processing, documentation, and report generation
  • Prepare reagents and manage sample testing workflow
  • Perform instrument troubleshooting, calibration, and minor repairs
  • Maintain a clean and safe lab environment in compliance with SOPs and safety standards
  • Document work using electronic laboratory notebooks (ELN)
  • Review and interpret scientific data with a focus on accuracy and compliance
