POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly motivated Protein Scientist / Automation Engineer with demonstrated expertise in high-throughput protein production using automation and liquid handling platforms. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with advanced automation systems (preferably Lynx) to support expression and purification of monoclonal antibodies as well as complex multi-specific modalities. Experience with both transient and stable protein expression, along with small-scale purification, is strongly preferred.
This role will also drive expression optimization initiatives by evaluating and implementing new technologies to expand the capabilities of the protein science team and address challenges in protein generation. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Selected candidates will be required to:

• Possess a B.S. or M.S. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Analytical Sciences, or a related discipline with 2–4+ years of relevant laboratory experience.
• Familiarity with automation, electronic lab notebooks, and LIMS systems.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and technical skills, with the ability to work well within a team environment across multiple disciplines.
• Enthusiasm, willingness to learn, strong work ethic, and broad scientific interests.
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

• Execute microgram-to-milligram scale protein expression using well plates and cell-reactor tubes.
• Operate, program, and maintain high-throughput automation systems for parallel protein expression, optimization, and sample processing.
• Design, develop, and refine protein expression workflows, methods, and protocols.
• Perform small-scale protein purification and basic protein characterization.
• Troubleshoot issues related to expression constructs, culture systems, and purification workflows.
• Generate clear, data-driven reports and deliver presentations for team, department, and cross-functional meetings.
