Description

Location: Primarily On-Site | Hybrid Considered
Department: Sales & Marketing | Type: Full-time
Overview:
We are hiring a scientist or engineer with a strong understanding of analytical instrumentation to support our sales and marketing team with technical insight related to systems such as HPLC, GC-MS, LC-MS/MS, ICP-MS, and others.
This role acts as a bridge between our refurbishment facility’s in-house laboratory, which focuses on refurbishment, OP/OQ testing, and certification, and our external stakeholders, including universities, government agencies, and commercial laboratories. You’ll work closely with the sales and marketing team to ensure scientific accuracy, method-informed quoting, and clear communication across teams.
You’ll be supporting our sales, marketing, and quoting teams with accurate, insightful, and adaptable technical input related to analytical laboratory instrumentation. While our sales consultants, relationship managers, and leadership team handle the client-facing side, your focus will be on translating scientific methods into instrument configurations, validating quotes for accuracy, and ensuring our technical content reflects real-world lab needs. You may also assist in researching instrument components, reviewing scientific materials, and working with our in-house lab team when needed. (You are welcome to join in on client meetings but it is not a mandatory part of the role.)
This role is ideal for someone with a background in chemistry, analytical instrumentation, or chemical/biomedical engineering who wants to stay close to the science — but in a more dynamic, cross-functional setting.
Core Responsibilities:
Read and interpret scientific methods, SOPs, protocols, and RFPs to identify appropriate analytical instrument configurations.
Support the quoting and proposal development process by determining required components and system layouts.
Assist marketing and sales teams by reviewing scientific content, providing technical validation, and helping shape product positioning around real scientific needs.
Collaborate with our in-house lab team (refurbishment, OP/OQ testing) for deeper insight into instrument performance or compatibility when needed.
Research instrumentation components, including third-party modules, detectors, or peripheral options. Supporting our analytical instrument parts sourcing and supply chain development lead.
Maintain clear documentation to support internal quoting, external RFP/RFQ responses, and published materials.
Preferred Background:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Analytical Science, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Physics, Biomedical Engineering, or a related scientific or engineering discipline.
1–5 years of experience working in a lab, method development environment, or instrumentation-focused role.
Exposure to analytical instruments such as HPLC, GC-MS, LC-MS/MS, ICP-MS, UV-Vis, TOC, and other laboratory platforms.
Able to interpret methods and identify instrumentation needed — not just operate pre-built systems.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Longwood, FL 3275
