REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Ph.D. or equivalent in a biological or biochemical field
  • A record of successful research projects (authorship on publications, patents, independent grant applications, etc.)
  • Experience leading scientific teams
  • A track record of independently driving research programs forward
  • Strong background in protein design and analysis (molecular dynamics simulations, protein folding, trajectory/energy calculations, etc.)

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Mastery of computational experimentation and bioinformatics/biophysics, including database curation management and code repositories
  • Independent wet lab experimentation and validation (cloning, tissue culture, assay/protocol development, etc.)
  • Familiarity with protein language models, GNNs on molecular graphs, or active learning/Bayesian optimization
  • Establishing and maintaining computational infrastructure (e.g. cloud computing services, local compute systems, etc.)
  • High comfort level with technology, ERP software, and other data management tools, including but not limited to ELN/LIMS, metric-driven performance reporting, all Microsoft Office products, online meeting tools, smartphones, and other technology tools
  • Effective, persuasive, and compelling communication skills are critical
  • Political savvy and personal leadership presence that fosters the respect, trust, goodwill, and support of internal and external stakeholders, including, but not limited to, customers, team members throughout all levels in the organization, investors, and other service providers
  • High-level analysis, critical thinking, and decision-making skills are necessary

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States full-time. Our company does not sponsor applicants for work visas
  • Some local/regional/national/international travel is an irregular but essential duty. This requires having a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license and providing your own transportation to and from industry/business events, as needed. Infrequent overnight travel associated with industry/business events may also be necessary; must also be able to travel by air and/or train
  • Background and investigative checks may be performed as part of the hiring process (this may include criminal, motor vehicle, employment/reference, and credit); results must be satisfactory to the company
  • Ability and willingness to work flexible/extended hours and travel as needed to accomplish objectives
  • If hired, must adhere to all company policies and procedures, safety requirements, and other prescribed best practices/industry standards
