Description

At CooperSurgical we are currently looking to recruit a Laboratory scientist. Our Clinical services within genetic testing are growing, and we are expanding the team. You will be part of a team of thirteen laboratory scientists, reporting to the Laboratory Manager. The position is based at our facilities in White city, London England.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

· Bachelor or master’s in Biomedical Sciences, Genetics, Biology, Chemistry
· Preferable an MSc in reproductive genetics, women’s health, preimplantation genetics
· + 0 – 2 years of experience from a similar role
· Experience in a regulated environment desired
· Attention to detail
· Teamwork and patience
· Time management skills
· Structured and systematic approach
· Good communicator and team player
· Proficient level in MS office
· Fluent English (spoken and written) is mandatory

Responsibilities

· Receive, accession, and process, analyse, store, report on cases and samples
· Operate manual and automated clinical test instruments and information systems
· Maintain inventory of consumables and reagents, including performance of QC of new reagents.
· Use and maintain equipment
· Adhere to all laboratory’s policies, procedures and codes of practice for all activities assigned under the Quality Management System (QMS).
· Revise/write existing/new SOPs, to reflect current/improved practice.
· Maintain clean, orderly and safe work environment, including laboratory cleaning and maintenance activities.
· Perform concurrent data entry with focus on data integrity, maintaining Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
· Attend and participate in lab meetings.

· Other duties, as assigned
· May require occasional overtime, including weekends
