Our Center for Digital Safety & Securityis looking for further Ingenious Partners for the Vienna location. At the Center for Digital Safety & Security, we develop state-of-the-art information and communication technologies to make our systems highly secure and reliable in the context of comprehensive digitalization and global networking - focusing on a variety of key technologies such as distributed IT systems, Internet of Things, IoT, cybersecurity, data science, artificial intelligence (AI), blockchain technologies, quantum and photonic technologies, wireless systems (6G) and digital solutions for crisis and disaster management.
Our Research Field Enabling Digital Technologies, within the Competence Unit “Security and Communication Technologies”, specializes in applied research of new methods to exploit the physical properties of optical and wireless communication media and use quantum effects to increase digital security.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AS AN INGENIOUS PARTNER:

  • Completed PhD studies in physics, electrical engineering or a similar technical degree
  • Preferably at least 2 years of experience after completing the PhD degree in experimental quantum optics, quantum communication, or related fields
  • Experience with photonic integrated circuits is an asset
  • In depth knowledge of quantum information theory and quantum communication
  • Experience in project management, particularly in the context of research projects is an asset
  • Analytical thinking and structured work
  • High level of commitment and ability to work in a team
  • Good written and spoken English
