JOB OVERVIEW:

The Documentation Team at Keurig Dr Pepper is responsible for driving projects in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment by managing the ingredients and formula approvals. This involves evaluating them for specification and food safety, while collecting critical ingredient/formula to ensure all our products meet the required standards.
The Documentation Scientist will lead business-critical projects and devise strategies to ensure timely delivery of results. This role involves collaborating with various teams within and outside R&D to collect documents and enter specifications for ingredients, review and facilitate approval of ingredients and formulas and provide essential updates to the business as needed and proactively identify and mitigate risks. The ideal candidate needs to possess adaptability, resilience, and strong problem-solving skills.

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Lead projects that impact ingredients and formulas, such as new supplier requirement updates, cost savings initiatives, supply issues or production challenges
  • Collaborate effectively with Product Development and other R&D functions, including Sensory, Ingredients, Nutrition, Regulatory, Flavor Technology, Process Engineering, Chemistry, and Microbiology
  • Collaborate cross functionally with groups outside of R&D such as Quality and Procurement
  • Manage work through contractors who are hired for special projects within the team
  • Communicate effectively with vendors to obtain required documents in a timely manner
  • Follow SOP to create the required ingredient specs based on ingredient category in the database
  • Review and manage ingredients and formula approvals in the database for a project.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in adapting to changing business needs, priorities, and other activities as needed
  • Develop/ Update SOPs and training for job functionas needed
  • Provide training to the broader cross functional partners as needed

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of B.S. in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology or allied field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a related function within food/beverage (R&D, Quality) or CPG internship
  • Proficient with MS Office applications and Databases
