This senior position reports directly to the Area Division Lead - Public Health, Laboratory Medicine - Regina. The Clinical Doctoral Scientist - Area Lead for Molecular Genetics serves as a consultant for the Molecular Newborn Screening service, and directs day-to-day operations including administrative and technical oversight for the molecular genetic testing services of the RRPL Molecular Genetics Program. Human Resources Exemption: No Experience * Exp. in Public Health, Complex Lab testing, and/or Molecular Gennetics. * Minimum two (2) yrs working in an accredited healthcare lab setting Education * Medical or Doctoral Degree from an accredited institution. Licenses * Valid Class 5 driver's license Other Education and Training * ABMGG certification in Clinical Molecular Genetics & Genomics * Board certification/eligibility CCMG specialization in Mole. Genetics pref. * Familiarity with Newborn Screening guidelines and recommendations will be an asset.
