Description
ModeX Therapeutics is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Scientist I with experience in immuno-oncology/immunology to support the development and progression of new immune therapies.  The successful candidate will work with ModeX’s team to test novel biologic drug candidates, delineate their mechanism of action, and address biological questions. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a cross-functional team and contribute to the development of next-generation therapeutics in a fast-paced, rapidly growing biotech company with a bold vision.    Key Responsibilities: * Play a key role in the development of new biologic drugs for immunotherapy * Independently propose, plan and perform in vitro and in vivo studies to characterize the company’s drug candidates and their mechanism of action * Establish mechanistic insights addressing the impact of novel targets on immune responses * Develop and perform complex functional assays using primary immune cells (human, mouse, NHP) * Design, develop, troubleshoot and establish in vitro assays and in vivo models and standard operating procedures as needed * Work collaboratively within the ModeX team   Qualifications: * BS or MS in immunology, immuno-oncology, or related field * Lab experience required: BS with 10+ years or MS with 8+ years of research and professional experience * 5+ years of relevant industry experience required * Strong understanding of immunology, immunotherapy and immunoassay * Mastery of functional assays with primary immune cells, multi-color flow cytometry, ELISA and Luminex * Experience in handling mice incl. various dosing routes (IV, IP, SC), tumor mouse models and tissue collection * Excellent written and oral communication, organization, and data analysis skills * Outstanding troubleshooting and problem-solving skills * Highly adaptable to a fast-paced work environment and capable of working independently as well as within project teams   ModeX Therapeutics is an Equal Opportunity Employer   Qualifications ModeX Therapeutics, an OPKO Health company, is the leading clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing unique and proprietary-multispecific therapeutics.
