QUALIFICATIONS:

• 2+ years’ experience with immunoassays including 1D & 2D SDS-PAGE, and Western blot
• Demonstrates knowledge and efficient use of Outlook Email, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other required computer applications
• Proficient in Melanie/SpotMap analysis software and report generation to support project needs.
• Ability to organize and manage data relating to activities.
• Ability to work and maintain strong relationships with department managers, members of your team and other departmental staff.
• Command of English Language – written and oral
• Ability to read and understand Standard Operating Procedures
• Knowledge of QSR/cGMP guidelines or other good documentation processes is a plus

EDUCATION:

• Minimum of B.S. in Biology or related field

• Laboratory skills include basic liquid handling, setting up and performing immunoassays including 1D & 2D SDS-PAGE, and Western blot
• Use of specialist 2D-gel image analysis software for quantification of protein spot counts and antibody coverage assessment.
• Ability to independently follow manufacturer’s instructions for external assays
• Accurately complete experiment/project documents in compliance with QA standards
• Independently troubleshoot and make process improvements to deliver high quality results.
• Set up and perform biochemical assays
• Handling and pooling of raw material
• Inventory monitoring within department and general lab
• Strong working knowledge of routine use and maintenance of equipment appropriate to the relevant area
• Ability to comply data accurately and efficiently and put into a professional presentation
• Keep accurate and timely lab notebooks
• Demonstrates excellent attention to detail, can work quickly and accurately, organizing tasks and delivering quality data with efficiency
• Takes initiative in delivering on services and responding to needs
• Other duties as assigned
• Interpret and understand data generated, draw conclusions, and make recommendations to aid in project progression.
• Involvement in more complex projects that may exceed the standard expectations for an Analytical Services workflow.
• Mentor, train, and oversee junior Scientists within the group.
