Job Summary
Would you like to be part of a strong international team working on groundbreaking enzyme solutions for the food industry?
We are looking for a scientist for the Enzyme development Department in Brabrand. You can become part of an ambitious interdisciplinary team that develops enzyme products for the food industries such as bakery, brewing, beverages, culinary and plant-based food. Enzymes that enable healthier, higher quality and more sustainable food production. Our focus areas are enzymes for application in global food industries to meet the needs for sustainability, better use of raw materials and better nutrition.

Your tasks will include:

  • Be an integral part of a diverse global team of scientists and application specialists who work together on projects to support and further strengthen our enzyme products in our Food Bioscience business.
  • Participate in projects aiming at developing new enzyme solutions for the food industries.
  • Help investigate the mode-of-action needed for new enzymes to solve the future needs in the various food businesses.
  • Biochemical characterization of enzymes and evaluation of enzymes in relevant application model systems.
  • Design experiments, execute laboratory work, review data and analytical results, prepare reports and communicate these to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Use peer reviewed literature and patents to guide experimental design.

Who you are:

  • You have a master’s degree in biochemistry with at least 1 year of relevant experience or you have a PhD in biochemistry or related fields.
  • Interested in understanding the functionality of enzymes in industrial food applications.
  • Demonstrated innovative and creative skills.
  • Extensive experience from working in laboratory.
  • Shows creative and out of the box thinking in developing innovative solutions preferably within industrial application of enzymes.
  • Motivated to play a role in developing new products for the global food industries and interested in both laboratory work as well as data interpretation.
  • Demonstrated skills to enable methodical, systematic, and accurate research work, with attention to details and able to deadlines with complex or new issues.
  • The department is part of an international environment with colleagues around the world, and therefore you must be able to communicate and document flawlessly in English.
  • It is expected that you are familiar with different IT programs and are interested in learning new software.
