Description:
4basebio is an innovative gene synthesis company with the ambition to provide high quality, synthetic DNA for use in gene therapy and gene editing platforms. The company is growing rapidly and is establishing a GMP gene synthesis hub at its site north of Cambridge, UK to facilitate the scaling and optimisation of our proprietary DNA manufacturing process.
The ideal candidate will be interested in understanding and utilizing fundamental biological processes for commercial applications, meticulous experimental execution and pro-active approach to research innovation.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work as part of the Platform Development team
- Plan and execute experiments, assess problems, and troubleshoot to ensure successful and on-time project delivery
- Work collaboratively and support the R&D functions of the company
- Record experimental methods and results to a high standard and in-line with company guidelines, maintaining QMS documentation as necessary
- Attend and participate in relevant meetings, training, and development sessions
- Undertake any other appropriate roles and responsibilities that reasonably fall within the role holder’s skills and experience as requested
- Keep up to date with relevant scientific and technical developments
- Establish and maintain a detailed record of all the experiments and results generated in the lab
