As a Scientist you will organize and execute a variety of lab-based tasks to a high standard and degree of attention to detail within area expertise/ownership. Work is performed according to protocol in compliance with rules and procedures and the employee contributes to problem solving activities. The individual takes a proactive approach to their learning and development and is beginning to train others.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelors degree or hands on experience in a relevant field
  • Laboratory environment experience
  • Knowledge of Global Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
  • Fluency both verbal and written in English

Responsibilities:

  • Method development in a range of analytical techniques including e.g., ELISA, 2D HCP, qPCR, HPLC, CE SDS, icIEF, SPR, Cell based methods, flow cytometry, cell transfection
  • Draft new documents/SOPs
  • Basic cell culture, cryopreservation and revivals
  • Execution of work of increased complexity and breadth in line with expected standards (safety, on time, right first time to the appropriate degree of quality)
  • Ownership/Troubleshooting of lab equipment/departmental process
  • Ordering of materials/consumables
  • Analyse data and interpret results including troubleshooting
