Description

SCIENTIST

Location: Oss
Synaffix is a biotech company with a clinical-stage platform technology that enables best-in-class antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs), bispecific antibodies and other targeted therapeutics under a technology out-licensing business model. Synaffix was fully acquired by Lonza in June 2023. Aimed at enabling innovative medicines for patients in areas of high unmet medical need, Synaffix has forged a growing number of collaborations with top tier biotech and pharma companies by enabling best-in-class therapeutic candidates for their pipelines.
Today, Lonza is a global leader in life sciences operating across five continents. While we work in science, there’s no magic formula to how we do it. Our greatest scientific solution is talented people working together, devising ideas that help businesses to help people. In exchange, we let our people own their careers. Their ideas, big and small, genuinely improve the world. And that’s the kind of work we want to be part of.
We are looking for a Scientist to join our Research & Development team in The Netherlands. Lonza AG aims to offer targeted delivery technologies. This chance lets you engage with advanced protein conjugation technologies. Your pivotal role will advance our R&D efforts, especially in Antibody-Drug Conjugates (ADCs) for various clinical areas.

Responsibilities
  • Generation and characterization of antibody conjugates, including with highly cytotoxic payloads.
  • Application and adaptation of purification and analytical techniques (including SEC, IEX, affinity chromatography, SDS-PAGE, RP-UPLC, high-res MS).
  • Exploration of novel routes to generate homogeneous antibody conjugates.
  • Support in filing and strengthening of intellectual property.
  • Acquisition and dissemination of knowledge in biochemistry, molecular biology, and/or protein science.
  • Supervision of research associates.
