Our research group pioneers innovative methods in digital pathology, advanced image analysis, and deep learning. We focus on several key areas, including advanced image segmentation, next-generation morphometry, pathomics data analysis, sustainable AI (green and energy-efficient solutions), as well as secure and explainable AI. Our ultimate aim is to advance patients’ pathology diagnostics

  • We are seeking a talented scientist (PhD student or postdoctoral researcher) who is eager to make significant contributions to these exciting research domains.
  • Join our interdisciplinary and international team of dynamic AI researchers, biologists, and clinician scientists, embedded directly within the Institute of Pathology. We collaborate on cutting-edge medical applications that have the potential to transform patient care
  • Our state-of-the-art hardware infrastructure includes multiple GPU clusters (NVIDIA DGX A100) and CPU clusters. Additionally, we offer access to a large and continuously expanding collection of preclinical datasets as well as large multi-center patient cohorts

  • Development, optimization, application, and clinical validation of deep learning algorithms in digital pathology
