JOB DESCRIPTION

  • The Protein Sciences group collaborates with drug discovery project teams across Client therapeutic areas including Oncology, Immunology, and Neurology.
  • Our group enables project teams with antigen protein reagents. We are seeking a cell culture / molecular biology scientist to actively contribute to our workflows including in molecular cloning of plasmid constructs and with small to medium-scale protein expression in mammalian cells (HEK, CHO) and e.coli.
  • Candidate should have cell culture experience with mammalian cells (HEK, CHO).
  • Candidate should be self-motivated and must be able to work independently and also contribute in a team environment.
  • Candidate should possess excellent communication skills and be proficient in presenting in front of groups.
  • Must be able to manage several tasks concurrently and be capable of adjusting to rapidly changing experimental priorities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BS or Master’s degree in biochemistry, Biology or other related Life Science with 3+ years of relevant laboratory experience.
  • Work history performing transient protein expression HEK293 or CHO cells. Experience in e. coli is also preferred.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience performing Western analysis, SDS-PAGE, molecular cloning, DNA preps. Additional experience of interpreting protein analytical techniques such as SEC, MS, DLS, etc. are desirable
  • Experience working with/implementation of automated laboratory workflows and instrumentation
    Job Type: Contract
    Pay: $47.00 - $49.00 per hour
    Expected hours: 40 per week
