Work Schedule Standard (Mon-Fri) Environmental Conditions Office, Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.), Strong Odors (chemical, lubricants, biological products etc.), Will work with hazardous/toxic materials Job Description As a Manufacturing Scientist, you will have the unique opportunity to contribute to the development and optimization of silica based chromatographic consumables and their components. You will play a vital role within our Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry Research Center, owning designated research and development project components. Responsibilities: Contribute to silica synthesis, modification, evaluation, and column packing steps. Define well-characterized, robust, and reproducible processes within operational ranges. Analyze and interpret technological and scientific content. Plan and conduct experiments to determine critical quality attributes and operational ranges. Interpret and present data to project team members. Document, track, and communicate experimental plans, test results, and analysis. Collaborate with project managers, operations, and development teams. Participate in product/process design specification reviews and contribute to product documentation. Identify deviations from standards and propose modifications for conformity. Perform other assigned duties as required. Requirements: Education: MS/PhD degree in science (polymer, synthetic organic or inorganic chemistry), engineering, or equivalent. Experience: Experience: Demonstrated experience in synthetic organic, inorganic, or polymer chemistry within a research or industry setting. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of synthesis methods, reaction mechanisms, kinetics, and thermodynamics. Proficiency in using molecular and physical chemistry-based tools for reaction product characterization. Theoretical knowledge of HPLC and/or IC fundamentals is advantageous. Ability to provide guidance and mentorship to junior scientists. Highly self-motivated with excellent project management skills. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary, matrix-managed environment. Ability to present findings in public forums. Strong English language skills.
