Description

ABOUT HYPROMAG LTD

HyProMag Ltd is a pioneering company in the field of rare earth magnet recycling and manufacturing. Founded by leading experts in magnetic materials, recycling, and hydrogen technologies, HyProMag is commercialising the patented Hydrogen Processing of Magnet Scrap (HPMS) technology—an energy-efficient and sustainable method for recovering and reprocessing NdFeB magnets.

Responsibilities

THE ROLE

We are seeking a commercially astute Scrap Trade Professional to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role sits at the intersection of operations, supply chain, and commercial strategy, with a primary focus on sourcing scrap materials containing NdFeB magnets and trading the residual outputs following processing.
You’ll develop key supplier relationships, negotiate procurement contracts, assess material value and composition, and manage the timely flow of magnet-containing feedstock into our HPMS system. You’ll also handle the trading and return of non-magnetic by-products, helping HyProMag drive both supply reliability and economic efficiency.
This is a high-impact role with the potential to evolve into a profit centre in its own right.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build and manage strategic supplier relationships to secure NdFeB magnet-containing scrap.
  • Source both spot and recurring scrap lots, estimating value based on magnet content.
  • Manage contracts for material supply and return of non-magnetic residues.
  • Oversee trading of residual materials post-processing to maximise value recovery.
  • Maintain alignment between feedstock supply and production needs.
  • Collaborate with production and ERP teams to ensure full material traceability and mass balance.
  • Monitor and report on international NdFeB scrap and rare earth prices to inform pricing and strategy.
  • Contribute to the development of ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001 systems within the company.
  • Support health and safety policy implementation and contribute to risk assessments.
  • Produce quarterly stock and scrap forecasting reports for senior management.
  • Travel as required to meet suppliers, attend industry events, and support strategic development.
