This is an exciting opportunity to join a small friendly screening team, this post is ideal for a motivated individual with a specialist interest in fetal medicine and antenatal and newborn screening. The successful applicant will be responsible for developing and supporting the fetal medicine aspect of the service while working closely with the screening coordinator to provide screening services.
You will be working closely with our Fetal Medicine consultants and the screening team, providing a level of continuity of care in conjunction with the wider obstetric team.

To work with members of the multidisciplinary team to provide clinical expertise and professional advice and support pertaining to fetal medicine and screening
To develop the current fetal medicine service to provide holistic, patient centered care
To act as an advocate and support for parents
To work with members of the multidisciplinary team to help explain findings and give available information to parents, including prognosis and possible outcomes of pregnancy
Assist fetal medicine consultants to perform invasive testing
To liaise with other specialties to coordinate the management, support, and care of families
To work with others to organize termination of pregnancy including counselling patients and families and giving medication to those patients wishing to interrupt the pregnancy
Liaise closely with ANNB screening team and update appropriate databases for FASP reportable diagnoses
Attending weekly MDT meeting for fetal medicine patients to ensure care pathway is communicated among the team
Work closely with antenatal and newborn screening coordinator to provide screening service
