We are a full service ENT office with a focus on in-office procedures. We use state of the art technology and take pride in ensuring that we provide patients with the best possible care. We are looking for someone to join our team of highly motivated clinicians and support staff. Many Pre-Med/Pre-PA students looking for medical assistant experience have gained valuable knowledge in this position at our practice prior to entering medical school or physician assistant school. We are looking for a reliable, friendly, outgoing, team player with a patient-centered attitude. Experience in using electronic medical records (EMR) is a plus. Please include the name of the EMR systems you have worked with in your resume. Other Requirements: Must have graduated college and are taking a one to two gap year. Able to work full time. Qualifications Performance Requirements: Knowledge: Knowledge of health care field and medical office protocols/procedures. Knowledge of specific assisting tasks related to particular medical practice. Knowledge of information that must be conveyed to patients and families. Skills: Skill in performing medical assistance tasks appropriately. Skill in tact and diplomacy in interpersonal interactions. Skill in understanding patient education needs by effectively sharing information with patients and families. Abilities: Ability to learn and retain information regarding patient care procedures. Ability to project a pleasant and professional image. Ability to plan, prioritize, and complete delegated tasks. Ability to demonstrate compassion and caring in dealing with others. Equipment Operated: Standard medical exam/office equipment, which include computerized health information management system for medical records, etc. Mental/Physical Requirements: Must be able to use appropriate body mechanics techniques when making necessary patient transfers and helping patients with walking, dressing, etc. Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds of supplies. Occasional stress from dealing with many staff and patients.
