The Peri-Operative Department at North Canberra Hospital consists of a Day Surgery Unit, Surgical Admission Lounge (SAL), 7 Operating Theatres, and a procedure room, covering a wide range of surgical specialities, and a Post Anaesthetic Care Unit (PACU). Registered Nurses are members of the multidisciplinary team and have a key role in caring for patients at engaging in surgical services at CHS.
