The position is a Monday to Friday role, however at times, weekend work is available. The Scrub Scout Nurse will play a pivotal role in planning and delivering nursing care to patients and work as part of the perioperative team. Participation in the on call roster may be required pending your skills and experience. Experience in both neurosurgical and orthopaedic scrub/scout nursing specialties is highly desired/ advantageous. However, we are open to speaking with candidates who have other perioperative experience like Cardiology, Urology, Gastroenterology. About you Nurse with AHPRA registration DIV 1. Experience working as Scrub Nurse minimum 2 years - this role is not suitable to new grads. Demonstrated evidence of integration of theoretical knowledge and clinical skills, critical thinking and analysis in their daily practice. Excellent computer literacy and experience with electronic patient record system would be an advantage. Effective communication and interpersonal skills with ability to work within the interdisciplinary team. Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritise competing workloads with in a complex environment.
