As a Scrum Master at ABB, you will play a pivotal role in introducing a new way of working within our Smart Power Division. You will implement and lead Agile practices at the team level for two teams, guiding them on Agile principles for valuable outcomes. Your role will involve identifying continuous improvement opportunities and bringing a data-driven approach to day-to-day management.
This position reports to the Scrum Master Chapter Leader.
Location: Sweden, Germany, France, Finland, Poland, Bulgaria - flexible within Europe

In this role, you’ll help run what runs the world, by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact.

  • Actively guide Scrum teams on using Agile practices and principles to deliver high-quality products and services to our customers.
  • Coach, inspire, and mentor teams, promoting positive team dynamics to ensure effective collaboration within the team and with other teams, managing risks and dependencies.
  • Elevate the Scrum team to a well-functioning level by recognizing areas of skill and improvement, employing appropriate coaching and development techniques.
  • Model Agile empowering behavior to support the organization’s transformation to a new, Agile way of working.
  • Facilitate team-level Scrum events, including Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective, ensuring full team engagement.
  • Build and leverage effective alliances across other teams and the technical and business communities.
  • Contribute to the advancement and improvement of Agile practices within the individual team and the organization.
  • Ensure Scrum is understood, and the team adheres to Scrum theory, practice, and guidelines.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE

  • 2+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar Agile role, with a proficient application of Agile principles and practices.
  • Outstanding communication, facilitation, negotiation, and coaching skills.
  • Effective risk management and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to promote positive team dynamics and collaboration within the team and with other teams.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to ensure delivery.
  • Motivated to work in an Agile workplace and cross-functional team.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading people, with the ability to earn trust while challenging the team to improve and operate outside its comfort zone would be a plus.
  • Fluent in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
