Servant leader and coach to a cross-functional agile team, ensuring all activities use the principles and frameworks of Agile (e.g., Scrum, Kanban and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)) to deliver solutions.
EDUCATION, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS:
College, university, or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related subject, or relevant equivalent experience required.
Agile Certification (Certified Scrum Master - CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM) or Safe Scrum Master Certification (SSM) are preferred. This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
EXPERIENCE:
5-7 years of experience working in a software development organization and in an Agile environment as a scrum master demonstrating knowledge and practical experience of the Lean methodology, principles and tools like JIRA are preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Establishes lean/agile leadership, supports the Product Owner, and promotes quality practices; Skilled at Scrum practices of estimation and prioritization using agile techniques. Guides and coaches team members on agile practices & provides developmental feedback to team members using a servant leadership style and leading by example. Fosters an environment of mutual respect and cooperation, transparency, and autonomy; facilitates getting the work done without coercion, assigning, or dictating the work. Drives adoption of agile reducing the gap between agile theory and practice; drives continuous improvement. Establishes key metrics and monitors agile metrics that impact value driven delivery and indicate potential problems; Ensures all solution documentation is complete (Definition of Done). Establishes and communicates team progress and goals using program boards, burn-up, burn-down or other methods. Supports team rules and norms and protects the team from outside interference; removes impediments for the team or finds the right personnel to remove impediments. Maintain strong relationships to deliver business value using relevant Business Relationship Management practices.
