Overview:
Position: Scrum Master Manager
Salary: $110K - $130K/yr d.o.e.
Location: Remote OK - If living within 31 miles of Tustin, CA or Austin, TX will need to be able to work a hybrid schedule

The Scrum Master Manager is responsible for leading and coaching a team of Scrum Masters to ensure the successful implementation and continuous improvement of Agile methodologies across multiple projects and teams. This role involves fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment, aligning Agile practices with organizational goals, and driving the adoption of best practices in Agile project management.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of Scrum Masters, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback.
  • Coach and train Scrum Masters to effectively facilitate Agile ceremonies and practices, ensuring teams adhere to Scrum principles.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of Agile practices.
  • Facilitate cross-team collaboration and communication, ensuring alignment and coordination among multiple Scrum teams.
  • Mediate and resolve conflicts within and between teams to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
  • Engage with senior leadership and stakeholders to communicate Agile progress, challenges, and benefits.
  • Develop and implement strategies to scale Agile practices across the organization, ensuring consistent adoption and application.
  • Generate and present regular reports on Agile metrics, team performance, and project status.
  • Stay current with Agile best practices and industry trends, encouraging ongoing learning and development within the team.
  • Lead and manage change initiatives to transition teams and processes to Agile methodologies, ensuring smooth adoption.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree or certifications (e.g., PSM, CSM, SAFe) are a plus.
  • 7+ years of experience in Agile project management, with at least 3 years in a Scrum Master or similar role.
  • Proven leadership and mentoring abilities, with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex issues and drive solutions.
  • Experience in managing and coordinating multiple Agile projects simultaneously.
  • Relevant Agile certifications (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster, Professional ScrumMaster, SAFe Agilist).
  • Basic understanding of software development and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Trello).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a specific industry (e.g., technology, finance, healthcare).
  • Advanced Agile certifications (e.g., Certified Scrum Professional, SAFe Practitioner).
  • Experience in leading organizational change management initiatives.
