Miniclip is looking for a Scrum Master to join our Agile Operations team at our Netherlands office. This is an exciting opportunity to work with one of the best game companies in the world! With over 250 million game players each month, Miniclip reaches users across online, mobile, and social platforms. 

As a Scrum Master in Miniclip's Agile Operations Team you will support the 

Product teams in the successful production and timely release of our games, by building on the close relation between Agile development and release planning. 

 

What will you be doing at Miniclip?

  • Guide teams and the organisation in adopting and continuously improving Scrum and Agile practices, while applying the principles and living the values. 
  • Be part of the team and guide them in getting the most out of self-organisation, mentoring them on how to address the intentional gaps left in the Scrum framework. 
  • Remove impediments and proactively identify, track, and help resolve product dependencies to ensure requirements are met in time for release. 
  • Support and educate the Product Owner, from core responsibilities such as backlog management to the effective use of Agile practices. 
  • Facilitate Scrum events, discussions, decision-making, and conflict resolution. 
  • Support the teams by role-modelling servant leadership. 
  • Coach teams towards higher levels of maturity. 
  • Foster a culture with a healthy drive to deliver great products.

 

What are we looking for?

  • We’re looking for a social, hard-working person who enjoys working as part of a team and is passionate and dedicated about his/her work. The ideal candidate has:
  • Academic working and thinking level. 
  • A strong drive for continuous improvement. 
  • Knowledge and experience in mentoring teams in broader Agile and engineering practices. 
  • At least one year of experience as a Scrum Master in a software development team applying Scrum principles and values. 
  • Good knowledge of at least two of the four Agile Coaching competencies: facilitation, mentoring, teaching, and professional coaching, with a strong level of mastery in at least one of the following areas: technical, business, or transformation. 
  • Strong situational awareness and the ability to maintain unconditional positive regard for everyone. 
  • A solid understanding of Agile values and principles, and how to apply them across different frameworks and approaches, such as Kanban, XP, and Lean. 
  • Excellent command of the Dutch and English language. 
  • Plus: real passion for sports and/or games. 
  • Plus: a strong technical background, with 3+ years of experience in a software development role. 
  • Plus: Agile certifications are welcome, particularly when supported by demonstrable experience and proven skills in helping teams adopt and embrace an Agile mindset. 
  • Last but not least: You have a good sense of humor and desire to work with fun people!
