ABOUT THE ROLE

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Scrum Master to work for our client within the public sector. This is initially a 6-month contract with the potential to extend and will be carried out remotely.
Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Scrum Master to provide servant-leadership to at least two Scrum teams. This role requires a confident and capable individual who can guide teams through Agile delivery while promoting collaboration, continuous improvement, and high-quality outcomes.
The successful candidate will play a key role in facilitating Agile ceremonies, helping to remove impediments to delivery, and ensuring that Agile processes are applied effectively to meet business needs. You will work closely with product owners, stakeholders, and technical teams to align Agile Release Train (ART) and sprint goals, while also championing Agile practices across the wider organisation.
This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the delivery of high-impact projects within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
  • Lead Program Increment (PI) Planning sessions, contributing to the successful coordination and alignment of Agile Release Trains
  • Work closely with product owners to ensure features and backlog items are well defined, prioritised, and ready for development
  • Promote continuous improvement by helping teams identify and implement ways to increase productivity and performance
  • Coach and mentor team members to deepen their understanding of Agile values, principles and practices
  • Support the application of Scrum, Kanban and other Agile frameworks in a flexible and pragmatic manner that fits business requirements
  • Encourage open communication, alignment and collaboration across teams to achieve shared sprint and ART objectives
  • Contribute to the wider organisation by promoting Agile and Scaled Agile practices, helping to build a consistent and sustainable Agile culture
