Job Title: SDET Engineer (Automotive – C Development & ECU Testing) Location: 100% On-Site (Guadalajara, Jalisco) Contract Type: Contractor Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with a strong background in embedded C development and automotive testing, particularly in Electronic Control Units (ECUs). This is a 100% on-site contractor role, ideal for professionals who thrive in hands-on environments and are passionate about quality in automotive systems. Key Responsibilities: Develop, execute, and maintain automated and manual test cases for ECU software. Collaborate with developers and systems engineers to ensure test coverage and validate requirements. Analyze and debug software issues in embedded systems using C. Ensure compliance with automotive industry standards and testing protocols. Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing frameworks and processes. Minimum of 3 years of experience in C programming within embedded systems. Proven experience in automotive software testing, with a focus on ECUs. Strong understanding of automotive communication protocols (e.g., CAN, LIN, UDS). Experience with debugging tools and test environments for embedded systems. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work 100% on-site and collaborate effectively in a team environment. Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with ISO 26262 or other automotive safety standards. Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks for embedded systems.
