Your role as SDF Framework Manager:
We’re seeking a proactive and experienced Framework Manager to support the delivery and development of our business on the Area 3 SDF contract. This pivotal role involves leading and managing an operational programme of work, ensuring the right resources are in place to meet Highways England’s strategic objectives, as well as its Vision, Mission, and Values.

You’ll be:

  • Accountable for the delivery of all Framework Commitments (Quality Promises), including Product, Service, Right First Time, Cost, Time, Health & Safety, and Sustainability
  • Creating a safe, collaborative, and lean process-driven working environment that supports effective delivery
  • Focused on best practice, innovation, and continuous improvement, driving excellence across all aspects of the framework
  • A confident relationship-builder, capable of quickly establishing dynamic and collaborative working relationships with both customers and colleagues—relationships built on trust and consistent delivery

What are we looking for?

Essential:

  • Previous demonstrable experience in the traffic management industry - either practical TM experience or experience of working in the highway maintenance sector
  • Local knowledge of the region’s construction and maintenance market, particularly Highways England, local authority highway maintenance and utilities highways works
  • IOSH Managing Safely/SSSTS/SMSTS or equivalent qualification
  • Commercial understanding, with relevant capability to expand knowledge
  • Proficient in the use of a PC, Microsoft Office suite of software and ability to work with other business management systems
  • Highly motivated and able to identify, follow-up and convert your own prospects/new business leads
  • Ability to establish dynamic working relationships
  • Full UK driving licence - travel around the operating area and for business meetings is required

Desirable:

  • Formal commercial or business management qualifications
  • Evidence to support process driven capabilities
